Abstract
Simple chaos theory predicts the collective impact of humans on the Earth’s ecosystems will grow at an exponential rate in coming decades. Because of the large collective gross energy consumption of industrial drying systems, expect to see these mostly unregulated systems start to get more attention from both governments and the public around the planet. Once a global effort is put in place to evaluate the performance of these systems, expect to see significant changes in how all industrial drying systems are designed, constructed, maintained, and operated.
