Abstract

German Critical Psychology developed its own understanding of social processes. Based on Marxism, Holzkamp and others envisioned a social world that allowed persons to live together in solidarity, based on the individual subject’s maximum agentic capability. This chapter aims to explain the concept of subjectivity as it can be found in German Critical Psychology and how such a concept relates to democratic interaction in a society.
