Abstract
Diverticular disease is the most common benign colonic abnormality in people over the age of 50 years; hence, it is considered to be a normal finding. CTC is contraindicated in patients with acute diverticulitis. Chronic diverticular disease does have known complications, which may be visualised by CTC. There are several criteria that distinguish diverticular disease from underlying cancer. CTC images of diverticular disease are presented to illustrate the features of the pathology.
