Abstract
In this introductory chapter we will introduce two essential concepts: differential equations and numerical methods. If you want to spend as little energy as possible (don’t be ashamed of that - energy preservation is both fashionable and a fundamental property of many biological mechanisms - it’s fine) you can get a good overview from this chapter alone.
