Abstract

In this autobiography, Dumo details the events that led him to Libertarianism. His earliest memory of his journey was in 2007 while he was studying the Russian Revolution in high school. In his final undergraduate year at university, he was exposed to political philosophy on two separate occasions which played a role in his conversion in subsequent years. When he started working in 2013, Dumo experienced the oppressive nature of government which made him more critical towards the idea of the state. From 2016, he was exposed to material from Libertarian authors and eventually became a Libertarian. Subsequently, in 2018, Dumo started a Libertarian podcast based in South Africa and ran as a Member of Parliament candidate in the South African general elections in 2019.
