Abstract

This chapter is the second (Part 2) in a two-part series that describes a case study involving publication suppression (prevention of certain ideas or empirical findings from being explored, presented, or published due to fear, hostility, or ideological disagreement) masquerading as publication rejection (preventing publication because a manuscript is substandard in writing or evidence) in school psychology. In Part 2, two philosophies that undergird issues of race in education are compared and contrasted: one involving trendy sociopolitical race ideologies that are currently in fashion versus established principles drawn from the individual differences, educational psychology, instructional psychology, and charter school literatures.
