Abstract

This chapter describes the new innovations and treatments in rhinosinusitis. (Fokkens et al., Rhinology 58: 1–464, 2020).

Firstly, there is a new classification for chronic rhinosinusitis. Secondly, there has been rapid progress in the new innovations used to treat chronic rhinosinusitis. This new classification has significant impact on treatment choices and will be used in this chapter. New innovations and treatments directed to various forms of CRS are discussed. The new innovations include balloon technology dilatation, drug-eluting stents and biologicals in particular.
