Abstract
The paper considers how agricultural policy can influence the development of labor potential in rural areas under conditions of technological development. The population is the basis for the formation of labor resources and job supply in the labor market. The number, structure, and density of the population significantly affect the level of staffing of the agricultural sector, its development, and the level of use of natural resources. It is important to define efficiency criteria to determine the prerequisites for increasing the efficiency of labor potential of rural areas. The labor potential of rural areas determines the opportunities to participate in the production of public goods and increase reproduction. Formation of market economy in agriculture, development of agro-industrial structures in a short period, and improvement of the agricultural economy, which deteriorated in the process of increasing production efficiency, indicate the growth of small and medium agricultural businesses in the entrepreneurial field. The development of the rural economy will be possible through its industrial and social sphere and environmental protection. This means increasing and developing the productivity of agricultural enterprises and other farms. Thus, the effective development of agricultural entrepreneurship will allow agricultural enterprises to expand in agriculture and domestic services, handicrafts, health, promotion of national traditions, etc.
