Abstract
Large areas of the West are known for their extensive supply of freshwater while other sections are facing water stress that is not far from a water crisis. However, sections of the West are facing a number of environmental crisis along with severe prolonged drought. This section of the nation can be divided into two sections, a coastal region and a mountain region. The three coastal states are considered the wetter states, with the four mountain states the drier states.
