Abstract
Modern healthcare is evolving and teledermatology has entered into mainstream skin disease management during the COVID-19 Pandemic. Store-and-forward dermatology is the preferred platform to increase access to specialty dermatologic care often through smartphone technology. However, live-interactive video visits are better reimbursed through insurance payors. Physicians need to recognize the importance of the selective use of telehealth to maximize patient care. This review summarizes the current status of teledermatology.
