Abstract
The article examines the structure of assets and liabilities of enterprises with different levels of competitive potential, which was measured by the following three indicators: increase or decrease in assets, increase or decrease in the ratio of income from sales of products, works, services to cost, increase or decrease market share. The sample of twenty-five development companies was divided by cluster analysis into three groups - enterprises with low, medium and high levels of competitive potential. The analysis of the structure of assets revealed that developers with a high level of competitiveness are characterized by a slightly higher share of current assets than other groups of enterprises, and this cluster is characterized by a higher percentage of equity in the structure of liabilities. The construction companies are recommended to increase their level of financial stability, which is generally lower, to direct profits to the development fund and pursue a moderate policy of attracting long-term sources of financing for production activities. The practical use of the results of the study will allow companies to establish a system of asset management and the formation of attracted and equity and, as a consequence, create conditions for increasing competitive potential.
