Multidimensional Signals and Systems

Abstract

Sampling in two dimensions provides far more possibilities to choose the sampling points than in one dimension. The presentation starts with rectangular sampling and proceeds to general sampling grids based on lattice theory. Then aliasing in two dimensions is investigated before some frequently used sampling lattices are discussed.
