Headache Disorders in Pandemic Conditions

Abstract

COVID-19 mostly affects patients in the middle-to-advanced age group, where chronic comorbid diseases are also seen. There are limited studies on comorbidities accompanying COVID-19 infection and their frequency. Early detection and knowledge of comorbid conditions associated with COVID-19 infection facilitate patient management. The rate of transmission, symptoms, and prognosis of COVID-19 infection differ between the sexes. There are different statements about the distribution of the frequency of headache, which is a common symptom during infection, between the sexes. In this regard, the underlying chromosomal, hormonal conditions, and different behavior patterns between the genders are emphasized.
