Abstract
Over recent years trans-perineal prostate biopsy has emerged as the biopsy method of choice. Although neglected for several decades in favor of transrectal ultrasound biopsy, more recent data has revealed reduced complications and better sampling when using the trans-perineal approach. This chapter illustrates the technique and surgical approach for trans-perineal biopsy.
