Abstract
This chapter is about transport and pressure in liquid fluids. When you design a piping system, it is important what pressures and forces can occur in fittings or valves. The properties of the fluid are also important. We explain how to set up a hydraulic model for two connected heating oil tanks. The oil is pumped from one tank through a pipeline to a second tank using a hydraulic pump. We study how a hydraulic jack for a car works and analyze it. The transmission of power in the jack is done with a hydraulic oil that can cause pressure vibrations inside. The results and additional work proposals are discussed.
