Abstract

This chapter is a discussion of the experience with mentoring as Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) graduates. The discussion revealed that the mainstay of their support came from peer and informal mentoring. The chapter also draws attention to the necessary mentoring needs of DNP graduates working in academia as they improve their skills in the scholarship of discovery. After their meeting and collaboration, it becomes evident that their experience mirrors the evolution of the Doctor of Nursing degree.

We rise by lifting others.
