Abstract
Some of the more challenging defects of the nose are the smaller ones (<1 cm). This is because there may not be an obvious ideal option. Furthermore, the expectations for both the patient and the surgeon are often higher than with larger, more complex defects. A small transposition flap, in the form of a “note” flap or even a standard rhombic flap, can be employed for defects of the nasal sidewall.
