Abstract
The temple is a frustrating region to reconstruct. There are no straightforward algorithms for the temple, and some flaps will work well in some patients and result in distortion in others. For defects near the eyebrow which approach the forehead region, a note-style transposition flap can be an excellent option. This area of the temple is more visible on frontal view and therefore benefits more from flap repair versus skin grafting.
