Abstract

The majority of clinically important and prevalent fungi involved in ocular infections are discussed in this chapter, including Candida, Aspergillus, Cryptococcus, Coccidioides, and Pneumocystis. These fungi are discussed in relationship to their epidemiology, risk factors, route of entry to the eye, clinical presentation, differential diagnosis, work-up, and local and systemic treatment.
