Abstract

With the progress of modern science and technology and the development of modern life, the concept of ecology is deeply rooted in the hearts of the people, which not only affects many fields such as environment, civilization, ethics and food, but also extends to college English teaching. Therefore, the focus of this paper is to analyze the ecological factors in the current college English teaching system according to the theories and principles of ecological philosophy and classroom ecology, and combine the ecological theory with college English teaching practice to build a new college English ecological teaching model. This paper will investigate the current situation of College English Classroom Ecology and analyze the reasons for the imbalance of College English classroom ecology, and build a new, harmonious, dynamic, balanced and open English ecological teaching model in line with the niche principle, the law of limiting factors, the law of tolerance and the principle of optimum in order to solve the problems existing in College English teaching. The innovation of this study is the effective combination of ecological theory and College English teaching practice, which will help to overcome the shortcomings of non-compliance with ecological requirements, low efficiency and time-consuming in the current college English teaching practice, and promote the continuous reform of College English teaching so as to make new breakthroughs and progress. However, classroom ecology is already a new research direction. Combining it with college English teaching practice and constructing a new college English ecological teaching model is a long-term and continuous improvement process in practice. Therefore, this study has great limitations, but I hope this study can provide new enlightenment for College English teaching practice.
