Abstract
A little-known fact about digital innovation is that even with the most traditional products and services, a business can use digital technologies to enhance the product or service in terms of several key dimensions. In this chapter, we lay out a structured way to enhance any product with digital features that can add value and increase the product’s appeal to customers. We explain how product digitalization impacts market-facing process support, and operationalize and illustrate our approach using the examples of Eneco Toon and Signify Interact Office.
