Abstract
Intracranial arachnoid cysts are a relatively common lesion that consists of a membrane-coated cyst which contains cerebrospinal fluid-like fluid that typically follows a benign course. Surgery is indicated in cases of symptomatic lesions, and conservative management should be advocated for asymptomatic lesions. Most asymptomatic lesions will not enlarge over time.
