Der prinzipielle Ursprung der Winde in der Erdatmosphäre und die potentiell verfügbare Leistung dieser Winde wurden in Abschn. 1.4 qualitativ beschrieben. Hier werden jetzt die grundlegenden Windgesetze und die Grundzüge der atmosphärischen thermischen Stabilität dargestellt.
