Abstract
Musculoskeletal tumors form a wide umbrella that covers many unique benign and malignant varieties of bone and soft tissue pathologies. The diagnosis and treatment of primary malignant bone tumors demand both a thorough understanding and a regimented algorithm. The important general concepts of malignant tumors to consider include the epidemiology, etiology, classifications, diagnosis (clinical/imaging), and treatment. The purpose of this chapter is to provide a broad overview of the important concepts of the diagnosis and management of primary malignant bone tumors.
