Abstract

Leaders are core to the well-being of the workforce and in turn to our communities. Leaders respond to individual employees and to the teams they lead. They are charged to inspire purpose and to oversee productivity, progress, innovation, and quality outputs across multiple domains and settings. Often overlooked, yet key to the function of the workforce and community, leaders remain central to the well-being of employees and in turn to today’s society and tomorrow’s promise. Today as we emerge from a global pandemic, we are all reminded of the importance and value of the well-being of the healthcare workforce. Employee morale has waned in many healthcare settings, and the demand for action for improvement across a multitude of settings registers throughout the globe.
