Abstract

Among the philosophers frequently quoted by managers is Heraclitus, the ancient Greek thinker, nicknamed “the obscure” because of the difficulty of understanding the fragments that remain of his work On Nature. Notwithstanding, his most famous idea is highly intuitive and simple: Change is a constant in our lives. To explain the idea, he used the well-known analogy that no one can bathe twice in the same waters of a river, because they are constantly flowing.
