Abstract

Building on a non-exhaustive list of traditional literacy strategies, the author modifies the strategies in ways to integrate them into movement literacy content lessons. The reader is taken through the literacy development stages and then literacy strategies and how they can be applied in dance and physical education classrooms. The chapter also includes some recommended text to use in text sets for the integrated classroom.
