Abstract

This chapter addresses clinical and dermoscopic features according to the phototype (fair vs dark skin) of the following bacterial dermatoses: leprosy (tuberculoid, borderline tuberculoid, borderline-borderline, borderline lepromatous, lepromatous leprosy, histoid leprosy, and Type 1 and type 2 lepra reactions), lupus vulgaris, tuberculosis verrucosa cutis, impetigo and ecthyma simplex, bacterial folliculitis, and corynebacterium-associated dermatoses (trichobacteriosis axillaris, pitted keratolysis and erythrasma).
