Abstract

Clinic environments should be safe and inclusive for all individuals seeking care to improve health and well-being. Equity and inclusivity can be achieved by training staff and providers in communication, documentation, and educational opportunities to improve medical care. Advocacy by providers on behalf of children and adolescents is especially important to promote access to appropriate care.
