Abstract
This chapter explores market-based solutions in agriculture and healthcare. It explains how to modernize and increase productivity in agriculture by harnessing market forces. It explains Georgia’s market-based approach to healthcare provision which attracted private investment in hospitals and insurance sector, improved efficiency, sustainability and service quality. It explains the role of growth and wealth accumulation in improving healthcare affordability.
