Abstract
Major complications after vascular surgery are fortunately rare. However, they are often very dangerous for the patient’s life
In this chapter, we will focus on the main complications derived from vascular procedures.
Graft thrombosis and infections, anastomotic aneurysms, and aorto-enteric fistulae will be treated in depth along with a description of endovascular complications, a new issue of increased concern in recent years.
Although some of them are successfully treated, others are still without effective care with the hope that emerging technologies and therapies will be developed to face these important complications.
