Abstract

This chapter focuses on the Emerging Scholars Network. Encouraging openness to emerging scholars, the section has provided a dedicated academic space for scholarship, networking, and representation. The chapter explains how the section worked to lower structural barriers to conference participation and to facilitate a diverse and international mosaic of scholarship.

This is such an international conference!”“Are you enjoying it?”“I am, but I was lucky to attend this year; I study in Glasgow. The conference fees are so expensive, I can’t see how students might be able to attend every year…”“Well, then, you have to change that!”“Ok … how?”
