Abstract

A 15-year-old boy with a past medical history of asthma presented with 3 days of painless vision loss in his left eye. He reported a mild headache for the past week. He denied any preceding ocular injury, illness, infectious exposure, or recent travel. He was born in El Salvador and moved to the United States at the age of 10. He lived at home with his parents and several cats.
