Abstract

For a correct evaluation of a patient complaining hair loss, there are various methods that help the physician to direct toward the correct diagnosis and quantification of the pathology. These methods include non-invasive, semi-invasive, and invasive techniques, with different difficulty of execution. A correct assessment of the patient requires a good knowledge of the physiology of the hair to correctly interpret the results.
