Abstract

Facial attractiveness together with body weight seems to be the best predictor of overall physical attractiveness. Facial appearance and attractiveness influence certain behaviors and traits. Facial scars on the other hand have been documented to negatively affect patients’ quality of life and self-esteem, causing great physical and mental impairment. Consequently, a successful outcome of a primary wound repair or a scar correction is of great clinical significance to patients.
