Abstract
This chapter aims to show some of the platforms, applications, and computer programs (software) that are being employed in digital agriculture. These three computational tools have contributed to the optimization of the food production system in a global scenario. That is, these tools assist the farmer in the management of crops, facilitating data analysis and decision-making aimed at optimizing the production system. The optimization of the production system based on information obtained from the tools used in digital agriculture aims to rationally use production inputs. This can lead to a reduction in production costs and/or an increase in yield, resulting in greater profitability for the farmer. This optimization also makes it possible to reduce the environmental impacts on the agricultural production system, with the rationalization of the use of chemical inputs and reduction of pollutant emissions by internal combustion engines.
