Video-Atlas of VATS Pulmonary Sublobar Resections

Abstract

Anatomical segmentectomy of segments 9 and 10 of the right lower lobe represents a challenge for thoracic surgeons because of its high complexity, due to the need of performing the division of two intersegmental planes and the intraparenchymal dissection of their bronchovascular structures. This chapter tries to explain, in an audiovisual way, the most frequent anatomy, the different surgical steps as well as the tips, tricks, and possible mistakes during the procedure.
