Abstract

Dizziness can be vague and complex with an extensive differential diagnosis. Functional disorders in patients suffering from dizziness are common and refer to etiologies which are unexplained by known biological processes. As with organic dizziness, the clinical diagnosis of functional dizziness is challenging and requires an in-depth assessment of the patient’s clinical history, physical examination, and investigations. It is possible that functional and organic causes of dizziness co-exist.
