Abstract
A man of 45 years old, with a severe atrophy of upper jaw (no bone available to insert an implant except for the pterygoid area) (Fig. 30.1), asked for a full implant prosthetic treatment. He lost his teeth because of severe periodontitis. He presented a good status health and he was a smokers (20 cigarettes per day) since he was 18. Two different solutions were discussed with the patient:
