Abstract
Once a figment of imagination, Artificial Intelligence today is a scientific reality establishing its presence in every industry and sector across the globe. The education sector is no exception as during the last few years AI has made its way deep into this field. The ubiquity of digital devices and the universal reach of the Internet have led to the new age of any time anywhere education. AI forms the backbone of this new education system and supports every stakeholder in the field of education in accomplishing their different goals. The inclusion of AI obliterates geographical boundaries making global education more affordable and accessible than ever before while automation of the formidable backend administrative tasks with AI, lends fluidity and transparency to the education system. AI is bringing profound changes to the field of education by providing endless learning opportunities, expanding access, modernizing the mode of dissemination of knowledge, and enabling round-the-clock support to students with the help of chatbots. The present book chapter aims to review the numerous benefits of adopting AI-powered solutions in education and their possible implications. The chapter outlines how AI is personalizing learning, creating virtual content, addressing learning needs of the differently abled leading to wider inclusion, deeper engagement, and enrichment of the teaching–learning process.
