Abstract

This chapter discusses challenges of bedside pain management in the elderly patient population. Effective pain management in the elderly requires a holistic, multimodal, multi-disciplinary approach including pharmacological, non-pharmacological and interventional therapies. Challenges and opportunities for improvements are discussed.
