Abstract
In the first chapter we described the Boardman–Vogt tensor product of two operads. This operadic tensor product induces a related tensor product on dendroidal sets by the method of Kan extension. This new dendroidal tensor product agrees with the Cartesian product when restricted to simplicial sets, and reproduces the Boardman– Vogt tensor product when dendroidal sets are realized as operads by the functor τ.
