Abstract
The treatment of large osteochondral lesions in young patients is a great challenge for the orthopedic surgeon. In this type of patient, there is a reluctance to use prostheses for fear of wear and loosening. An enticing therapeutic alternative would be fresh osteochondral allograft transplantation.
