Abstract

Manufacturers of automotive components are faced with the need to request very frequent external logistics services, sometimes with identical or very similar destinations. These services are always the subject of a quote request, which does not always present the necessary agility in terms of information flow. Thus, this work has the main objective of developing a new computer application that aims to concentrate all the information necessary for the quotation request of external logistics services, taking into account the necessary requirements. After a diagnosis of the initial situation, following an Action-Research methodology, a list of the necessary input variables for the process was developed, later the information flow diagram was established, and then the documents involved in the process were defined, allowing, based on the use of these data, to define a new computer application that was successfully developed and implemented, constituting a knowledge base for other similar cases.
