Abstract

Cell is the structural and functional unit of life. This chapter focuses on the pathology at the cellular level, how the tissue injury occurs, what is the mechanism and mode of tissue injury. We will also see how the various diseases alter the cellular function and structure. Most diseases start with cell injury and subsequently loss of cellular function occurs.
