Abstract

We presented a 48-year-old woman with the irregular patches on the nose, cheeks and forehead developed 6 months ago after insolation. Histology showed acantholysis at the granular level and edema at the basal layer, direct immunofluorescence—C3 and IgG deposition at the cell surface of epidermal keratinocytes and ELISA—circulating autoantibodies to desmoglein 1. This disorder can mimic impetigo, rosacea, lupus erythematosus and seborrheic dermatitis and should be confirmed by histological method, direct and indirect immunofluorescence and ELISA.
