Abstract

This chapter focuses on the last interviews with Hemingway from the perspective of the emerging interview studies. It seeks to supplement current theorizations by analyzing not only the interviewee’s responses, but also the interviewer’s agenda and the interaction itself. Looking further afield, the author discusses what may be seen as a tradition of Hemingway interviews. While print interviews dominate, the chapter also includes other forms and venues of interview, such as radio or television.
