Abstract
EKG interpretation is best performed in a systematic and methodological fashion. Failure to utilize a reproducible system results in a predilection for missing key EKG findings. Within this chapter, the proposed method of EKG interpretation is as follows: rate, rhythm, axis, interval, and morphology. This chapter presents a walkthrough on how to properly interpret each component of the EKG. Further contained within this chapter are descriptions of left and right bundle branch blocks, left ventricular hypertrophy, and limb lead reversal.
