Abstract

The specific structure of ocular tissues and their physiological functions are the basis for the optical properties of the dioptric apparatus of the eye. This chapter focuses on anatomical conditions as well as physiological processes of the anterior segment of the eye, which is particularly important in the planning and execution of cataract surgery as well as in the management of complications.
