Abstract
In this chapter, we present the safety and immunogenicity data on non-live vaccines, and the recommendations for each one. We discuss in detail not only influenza and pneumococcal vaccines that are very important for immunocompromised children, but also vaccines more often given to older children, such as vaccines against HBV and HPV. We also discuss the particular schedules to be applied for immunocompromised children, when to verify vaccine serology and, when possible, how often. In addition, the necessity to give booster doses of non-live vaccines is considered. Finally, we give a brief overview on travel vaccines.
